Doreen Mogavero began her career on Wall Street at age 19 as a summer intern for her father, William Earle, who was a member of the American Stock Exchange. By the end of that summer in 1974, Doreen had found her life's calling.

Within a few years, Doreen moved to the New York Stock Exchange where she became its youngest member in 1980. In 1989, Doreen opened her own firm, Doreen Mogavero, Inc. as a broker/dealer executing NYSE listed equities on an agency basis for other brokerage firms. It was then, and still is today, the only 100% women owned and managed brokerage based on the floor of the NYSE. In 1995, the firm's name was amended to Mogavero, Lee & Co., Inc. That same year, Mogavero, Lee was approved by the NYSE to deal directly with buy side institutions. Because these institutions had direct access to the Mogavero, Lee broker executing their equity orders at the "point of sale", they were able to cut out all intermediaries, thereby saving time and money. Our first institutional client is still a client today.

Mogavero, Lee has been a member in good standing with the NYSE since 1989. In addition, every Mogavero, Lee employee, both past and present, without exception, has maintained a clean record with the NYSE, the SEC and FINRA.

Today, our firm not only trades NYSE listed equities for a diverse and long standing group of institutional clients, but can now offer our execution services in NASDAQ listed equities since becoming a member of FINRA and of NASDAQ in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
