DOREEN MOGAVERO

Doreen Mogavero has been a pioneer in the securities industry since she began Doreen Mogaveroher career on Wall Street in 1975. In 1980, at age 25, Doreen became a member of the New York Stock Exchange and, at the time, was the youngest member on the floor. In 1989, Doreen founded Mogavero, Lee & Co, Inc., the first and only floor based direct access firm to be wholly owned and operated by women. She bought her NYSE seat in 1994 and was the only woman working on the floor that owned her own seat when the NYSE Group went public.


In 2003, Doreen was the first woman from the floor to be appointed to the NYSE Board of Executives to help position it for the future. During her tenure on the Board, she served as one of only two floor representatives appointed to the Regulation Enforcement and Listing Standards (RELS) Committee. In addition, she has co-chaired the Market Performance Committee (MPC) and served on the Board of the NYSE Foundation. She founded and chaired the Market Information Committee as well as the NYSE Floor Members Diversity Committee. Doreen was a member of the NYSE Hearing Panel for 23 years and served 12 terms as an NYSE Floor Official, 2 terms on the NYSE Board of Executives and 4 terms as a NYSE Executive Floor Official.
Doreen's extensive trading background includes corporate stock buybacks, block trading and risk arbitrage. Her Series registrations include the 7, 12, 24, 55 and 63.
Doreen is a frequent market commentator on CNBC and Fox Business News as well as Bloomberg radio and TV. She was also featured on a Nightline special on the global financial markets which aired on ABC on January 22, 2008. Doreen appeared in a June I, 2008 CBS special on women executives in the financial industry entitled "Women at the Top". Doreen is regularly quoted in a variety of periodicals including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times. She frequently speaks and participates in panel discussions at industry conferences.

Doreen is an active participant in a variety of philanthropic organizations. She is the New York Area Coordinator for the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF). She is on the Corporate Advisory Boards of Inwood House, Fordham University Business School and the New York Presbyterian Hospital. Her memberships in trade associations include the Financial Women's Association of New York (FWA), the Security Traders Association of New York (STANY), the Security Traders Association (STA) Trading Issues Committee and 100 Women in Hedge Funds.

Doreen attended Centenary College. She resides in Staten Island, New York with her husband and son. Currently, Doreen is serving as Co-Vice president of the Poly Prep Country Day Middle School Parents Association and is one of the Middle School representatives to the Learning Committee.
